Dr Catherin Bull AM

FAILA, LF(Hon) AIA, MAICD, MLArch University of Melbourne, DrDes Harvard University, Emeritus Professor, University of Melbourne and Adjunct Professor, QUT.

As a landscape architect, urban designer and scholar, Catherin chairs and serves on boards, review panels and design juries across Australia, advising all levels of government and industry on the many aspects of urban development, design and management–policy, strategy, process, outcomes, governance. In 2009, she was made a member of the Order of Australia in recognition of her contribution to landscape architecture and urban design.

Catherin has led national and international consultancies, was a Commissioner in the Land and Environment Court of NSW and an academic for over 20 years, including as the Elisabeth Murdoch Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Melbourne.

Linda Corkery

FAILA, MLArch Cornell University, MRP Cornell University, BSc Iowa State University, Registered Landscape Architect, Emeritus Professor, UNSW Sydney.

As a qualified landscape architect and regional planner, Linda’s career spans over 25 years of private practice in landscape architecture in the United States, Hong Kong and Australia, and over 20 years as an academic at UNSW Sydney in the Faculty of Built Environment including leadership roles as Program Director, Head of School and Associate Dean International. In teaching, research and professional practice, Linda has focused on green space planning and design, landscape performance/sustainability and people-place/human-nature interactions.

Linda is an International Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a Member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia.

 

Noel Corkery

FAILA, MLArch Cornell University, MBA AGSM UNSW, MCDA&D UNSW, BSc Forestry ANU, Dip Gov, Registered Landscape Architect, MICDA, MESA.

As Managing Director of Corkery Consulting Pty Ltd, Noel brings over 40 years of professional consulting experience in landscape architecture and urban design across Australia and Asia.

His qualifications in forestry, landscape architecture and business administration combine with a strong understanding of the principles of sustainable development and their application to the integrated planning and design of landscapes. Noel has managed complex multi-disciplinary consultant teams for projects including public open space, parks, urban development, transport and power infrastructure, landfills, mining, forestry and landscape restoration. His contribution to the landscape architecture profession was recognised in 2013 by the AILA NSW President’s Award.

Chris Champion

FIEAust, FIPWEA (Emeritus), GAICD, MAuSAE. BE(Hons), MEngSc, CPEng, GradDipMgmt, GradCertMktg. Chartered Professional Engineer

Through his roles as President, Chair, Non-Executive Director, and Chief Executive Officer, Chris brings over 20 years of not-for-profit experience to the Foundation. He is a past President and Chair of the Board of Engineers Australia.

Following a successful 30 years in local government, Chris led the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia as CEO for 15 years to become a global leader in sustainable infrastructure asset management.

Chris has a strong international career that includes establishment of NAMS Canada for IPWEA as Director International and Executive Chair. In 2015 he was appointed Secretary General of the International Federation of Municipal Engineering. Chris has had a career-long involvement in the public domain and collaboration between professions that contributes to healthy communities and sustainable environments.

 

Kieran Power

MSc Social Business & Entrepreneurship, London School of Economics, UK, BSocSci (Env) and BAppSc (EnvSc), RMIT University

As an environmental scientist and social scientist with outstanding strategic communications skills, Kieran has collaborated extensively with NGOs on climate- and nature-related projects. This has ranged from engaging vulnerable communities on coastal adaptation pathways, to developing urban resilience strategies for cities across three continents and making the business case for investing in nature with WWF Australia.

Kieran has developed extensive experience with cross-sectoral stakeholders around climate action. His technical knowledge and networks are underpinned by strong commercial skills gained from 13 years of experience in major international consultancies. He is currently Senior Principal - Sustainability and Climate Change at Nation Partners in Melbourne.

Kieran’s consulting experience is complemented by formal training in management, leadership, social impact measurement and behavioural economics, which he obtained in the first cohort of the MSc Social Business and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, an MBA alternative for those in pro-social and environmental fields.
